Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet fruit, a little citrus and skewed British hops. Medium body, heavy carbonation citrus and sweet malt and fruits. Very dry finish. 090410

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de, 5.5 % ABV according to label). Hazy ambery golden olour with mediumsized off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is floral hops as well as some grass along with mild notes of spies. Flavour is floral and fruity hops along with some caramel malts and some slight wooden notes. Longlasting bittery finish.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. An attractive amber colour with a dense white head; fresh malt aroma, reminding me of the typical smell downwind of a brewery; there are nice crisp fruity apple flavours and also biscuity malts; however the finish is a bit of a let down with a lingering stewed vegetable taste, reminding me of over cooked spinach, sprouts or cabbage, rather than hops. A good start, but a disappointing finish.

Cask @ Counting House. Light golden colour, creamy off-white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy, vegetables. Flavour is hoppy, hint of citrus, slightly malty. Thin bodied and watery - English pale ale alike.

Bottle from ASDA. Amber in colour with a tight white head and plenty of carbonation. Light, bready malt aroma. Flavour was also malty, with slightly tart fruit, the house yeast character and a dryish finish. Ok.

Bottle 500ml. @ Fastelavnssmagning, Ulfborg.Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus - orange notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100220]

500ml bottle. Having had this on cask, I wasn’t exactly looking forward to this, but this was surprisingly really good. Some house Wadworth yeast on the aroma, but the best things about this beer are the mouthfeel and smooth swallow and the really really good fresh hop sting and lasting hop sting on the finish. Malts are just about ok. Not saying that I’m going out to buy a shed load of this again, but a lot better than I had expected. It won over my indifference.
