Cask-conditioned at the Albion, Warrington, 21/1/09. Amber coloured with a decent white head. Fruity aroma of pears and citrus. Flavour began with sweet malts, before some red fruit, orange and a citrus hop kick to finish. A break from the ordinary and served in excellent condition.

Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. It’s gold, obviously with a thin beige head. A strong golden beer in the Summer Lightning vane. In fact if you gave me this and said it was Summer Lightning I’d believe you. Some yeast on armoa, a bit sweet in mouth. Drying citrus hop on finish.
