Cask@GBBF2012. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is some toffee, wooden, nutty, floral and some mild reiny notes. Flavour is slightly earthy, fruity, toffeeish, nutty, wooden, spruce and mild crystal malty notes.

Two hand-pulled pints in The Cock Hotel Wellington on 20 April 2012. Golden brew with a good deep head of white bubbles on top: tried to stay the distance and almost managed too. The nose a mixed bag of smells: mild malts with a pleasant fruity hop content. The taste is also a good, interesting blend with again the malts coming first followed by the bittering hops with a more citrus hint than in the smell. Well balanced and semi-sweet in the after-taste, makes a change from the now almost normal blonde hoppy brews being brewed up and down the country.

Cask, Delamere Forest Golf Club, Cheshire. Brownish looks with a middling off white head. Biscuity malts with some bitterness towards the finish. Decent enough guzzler. The first pint of this barely touched the sides after the exertions and frustration of the previous18 holes... Fore !!

From cask at Crown & Kettle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and slight citrus fruity. Fruity and grassy flavoured. Mild citrusy to peachy touch. Bitter and grassy finish.

From cask at Crown & Ketlle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small, creamy and tan head. Aroma is fruity and roasted malt. Bitter and fruity hoppy with a medium dry underlying malty note. Bitter and malty finish.

Cask at Alexanders, Chester. Poured light golden with a medium head. Aroma was floral, hint of apples and some butterscotch. There was some apples to start and barely some hops in the finish. Watery.

Cask at Alexanders, Chester. Poured dark golden with a medium head. Aroma was honey, floral hops a some egg. Had a sweet malt start and a sweet floral finish. Slightly artificial honey aftertaste.
