On tap at Beer Time, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted malt, a touch of roast and some earthy notes. Flavour is clean, with toasted malt, earthy and a hint of roast. Decently balanced, but a pretty watery palate. Okay.

Chunky white head and yellow body. Smells of sweet and creamy malts, banana even, sweet like a vanilla sundae. Flavour is soft grain and some sweetness with a sugary finish. Sort of okay, rather rich, but still not exciting.

Bottle. Pours clear brown with reddish tint against the light, large spongy beige head, roasted malt-rye aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter roasted malt taste with slightly sour end, smooth body, medium finish. Not bad, there is an interesting sourish element that could be from rye or other grain.

At a local cafe, along with small starter plates. Pours pale yellow with white head, light mouthfeel, bitter finish, light malty aromas, earthly notes and zesty hints. OK-ish refreshing pale lager, much better of a choice than many of its mainstream equivalents.
