Description
We produce both cask and keg beer to the highest standards. From traditional best bitters, fermented in our open topped vessels, to hoppy IPA's fermented in our conical vessels, we aim to achieve the highest standards possible. We run a small lab in the brewery to ensure our beer is fermented cleanly, and is of the same high standard every time it comes to you. Our lab information is available to all our customers, from forced fermentation results and fining levels in cask beer to carbonation levels and yeast counts in keg beers. The Taproom at our brewery, located just off Perry Street, is designed to invite the community in Gravesend and beyond to come and see what we're up to on a regular basis, and see how we create and package our beer. The whole team share a passion for good beer, well cared for and well served. It is the aim of Iron Pier to provide great beer in the best condition we can.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Clear reddish amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fairly thin malts for the style with a modest sweetness. An odd but not at all unpleasant floral cherry thing going on, very slightly bitter. Ripe fruits, trace of ripe citric peel. Dry finish. Out there but pretty drinkable.

Slightly thin for it's strength, but delicious nonetheless

Half-pint, cask ale at Craft Beer & Co - Covent Garden. Spotty lacing from a bubbly, white head, misty golden-brown body. Inviting citrus aromas, orange up front. Hop fruity flavours, citrus supported by grassy hops, underlying mild malty sweetness. Drying end, bittersweet. Pleasing to a certain degree. (Holborn, Greater London, 07.11.2022).
