Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish brown with minimal cream head. Aroma has chocolate and nuts. In the mouth the texture is a bit watery. Flavour has dark fruits and chocolate with hints of fudge and coffee. Finish majors on fruit. A nice pleasant stout.

On tap at Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe. Pours a bright burnished copper with a significant white head and good lacing. Aroma is mainly fruity hops. The hops carry over into the mouth. They are the main flavour but not excessive. The texture is somewhat cloying and there is also pine, marmalade and citrus. A pretty good old style IPA – I’ll definitely drink this again.

Can ordered from Elusive. Aroma packs in a whole lotta rye. It's bready with underlying citrus hints. Opaque dark chestnut brown. Thick foamy beige head. Light-medium medium citrus sourness. Spicy rye edge throughout, more obvious into the finish. Not as much as the aroma suggested but no complaints. Light bodied. Thin. Benefits from lively soft-fizzy carbonation. A not particularly bitter BIPA that is complimented by the rye. Having said no complaints, admittedly I'd have liked the rye loaf that the aroma promised.

Can at home, given to me by Andy at Elusive, thanks Andy! I love a BIPA. Pours black and a white head. Aroma is dark malts, soy, cocoa. Taste is fresh, cocoa, citrus, bitter grapefruit pith, cocoa dusty. Pretty bitter and tasty BIPA

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 4/3/2020. Deep amber in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Leafy hops, sweet malts, a touch of red berries and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask gravity from Firkin Alehouse Folkestone and drunk at home. Black beer lasting tan head. Nutty chocolate aroma. Flavour is somewhat sweet. some lactose. some nut some chocolate. just a bit too sweet for me. finish has a little salt. like licking inside of a hazelnut shell. I ended up cutting it with 10 year old Struise Paanepot which is a little sour and cuts down on the sweetness nicely. otherwise I would struggle with a 5 pint bad of this.

Bottle from the Plumsteadshire online shop. Black pour with a tan head. Blackberry jam,liquorice, chocolate raisin, smoke, big notes of whisky in the aroma. Taste is coffee, brown sugar, blackcurrant lozenge, chocolate, single malt,dark roast coffee, burnt toast. Rich, warming brew. Top marks!

Cask at the Pup and Ducking, Solihull. Poured a slightly hazy reddish amber with a thin off white head and some broken lace. The aroma is grassy hop, light caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a fresh, crisp, light fruity, pepper spice, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask gravity at white cliffs BF 2020. 5.1% clear gold colour lasting white head. English hopped IPA I guess. well it's got some citrus some light hedgerow flavour. drinkable enough. white pepper finish. ok.
