Units 6 & 7 May Industrial Estate, Northfleet, Gravesend, DA11 8RU, England
Description
We produce both cask and keg beer to the highest standards. From traditional best bitters, fermented in our open topped vessels, to hoppy IPA's fermented in our conical vessels, we aim to achieve the highest standards possible. We run a small lab in the brewery to ensure our beer is fermented cleanly, and is of the same high standard every time it comes to you. Our lab information is available to all our customers, from forced fermentation results and fining levels in cask beer to carbonation levels and yeast counts in keg beers. The Taproom at our brewery, located just off Perry Street, is designed to invite the community in Gravesend and beyond to come and see what we're up to on a regular basis, and see how we create and package our beer. The whole team share a passion for good beer, well cared for and well served. It is the aim of Iron Pier to provide great beer in the best condition we can.

Cask at the old fountain. A hazed amber brown coloured pour with a creamy speckled beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty malts, light chocolate, hazelnut, dried fruits. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty layered malts, choco, hazelnut, apple, grape, little musty funk. Palate is semi sweet, oily, moderate cask condition. Not bad.

From cask at the lovely Dog & Bell, Deptford, London, 21.02.25. Ebony. Diminishing brown head. Excellent aroma and taste of dark chocolate, coffee, rosted malt and appropriate hop bitterness. Well-balanced and very drinkable.

On tap at Board Room Folkestone. Dark brown beer lasting beige head. Some black ipa character on the aroma. Yes more roasted malt black ipa character in the mouth. Then a spicy rye malt finish. A good twist on the old black ipa recipe. I liked it.
