Description
We produce both cask and keg beer to the highest standards. From traditional best bitters, fermented in our open topped vessels, to hoppy IPA's fermented in our conical vessels, we aim to achieve the highest standards possible. We run a small lab in the brewery to ensure our beer is fermented cleanly, and is of the same high standard every time it comes to you. Our lab information is available to all our customers, from forced fermentation results and fining levels in cask beer to carbonation levels and yeast counts in keg beers. The Taproom at our brewery, located just off Perry Street, is designed to invite the community in Gravesend and beyond to come and see what we're up to on a regular basis, and see how we create and package our beer. The whole team share a passion for good beer, well cared for and well served. It is the aim of Iron Pier to provide great beer in the best condition we can.

Near opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Quite an airy and light palate for the style. Good fine carbonation. Smooth if lightly bodied dark malts, dark malt cream, a little dark chocolate Malteasers provide a light cushion for robust and somewhat savoury bourbon. Bourbon soaked ripe fruits and fair dose of bourbon spicy alcohol. Just whispers of coconut and barrel induced vanilla. The light finish leaves a long bourbon spicy linger. Great stuff. I love all the big coconut and vanilla BBA Impies but how refreshing to have one that is back to basics and bloody tasty with it.

Cask at The Crown, Horsell. Aroma combines gooseberry fruit and malts. Cloudy light amber. Thin foamy translucent white head. Initial tart streak - the promised gooseberry. Followed by canned stone fruit sweetness. Medium bodied. Slick verging on oily. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable without being outstanding.
