Description
We produce both cask and keg beer to the highest standards. From traditional best bitters, fermented in our open topped vessels, to hoppy IPA's fermented in our conical vessels, we aim to achieve the highest standards possible. We run a small lab in the brewery to ensure our beer is fermented cleanly, and is of the same high standard every time it comes to you. Our lab information is available to all our customers, from forced fermentation results and fining levels in cask beer to carbonation levels and yeast counts in keg beers. The Taproom at our brewery, located just off Perry Street, is designed to invite the community in Gravesend and beyond to come and see what we're up to on a regular basis, and see how we create and package our beer. The whole team share a passion for good beer, well cared for and well served. It is the aim of Iron Pier to provide great beer in the best condition we can.

Cask at the pigs ear beer festival 2023. A clear amber cola brown coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is semi sweet chocolate fruit and nut, apple, cola, thin grains. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, light chalk, thin, green apple. Palate is semi sweet, thin drying finish.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Almost clear dark amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Nutty malts, a little floral cream. Nice ripe fruits, fairly bright. Mild ripe citric peel. Light and semi dry finish. Tasty mild.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2023, day 1 - London. Pours clear light brown with a small, bubbly beige head. Light sweet flavour with notes of tobacco, earth, burnt toast, faint cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly drying finish, more earth, cocoa, burnt leaves. Not bad.

On tap at The Green Goddess, Blackheath. Hazy gold pour with a white head. Heavy citrus nose, touch of cloves & banana. Taste is much the same as above with a spot of white grape sticking its toe in the door. Zesty citrusy finish.

--Cask at River Ale House, Greenwich, London. -- Black. Rich licorice and coffee aroma. Dry with light body and firm mouthfeel. Coffee, licorice and dark chocolate. Mid bitter finish.

Cask at The Park Tavern, Eltham. Golden orange pour with a white head. Nose is peach, grapefruit, gooseberry jam. Taste is lychee, grapefruit, kiwifruit, more gooseberry jam. Lightly bitter finish.

Half-pint, 6.0 % abv, draught at Olde Mitre. Ruby-brownish body, hazy. Off-white head that laced quite well. Caramel-fruity nose, inviting. Mixed taste of plums, caramel, and biscuit. Soft malt-fruity ending, mid-sweet. Fine depth to it. Pretty good. (Anniversary Trip, London, 28.09.2023).

Rubinrød. Litt uklar. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Aroma av karamell & malt. Smaken tørr frukt. Fortsetter inn i en lett bitter avslutning.

Cask at GBBF'23, day three, 03/08/23. Clear golden with a just off white cap formed of bubbles that retains well. Nose is mellow citric flesh, grass, tangerine, light bread dough. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, citric tinged straw, soft malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. Decent enough cask pale.
