A golden pils with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with German hops, light mineral notes, classic. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with German hops, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. On tap at DLD 2019.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a hazy deep gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Strawberry, citrus, dank and tropical fruit aromas permeate the nose. Mango, pineapple and more dank on the palate. Thick and juice-like texture. Low bitterness with a well-rounded mouthfeel. More tropical fruit, mango flesh and strawberry towards the finish with some light durian. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hazejuice Slopcan on 10 Apr 2019 at 13:15 - Score: 7

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a deep brown with a full 2 fingers of beige, soapy head that lingers. Light caramel and mild chocolate aromas on the nose. More chocolate, toasted brown malt, pine and caramel notes on the palate. Not really a black IPA in my mind, but more of a dark brown ale. Just not getting the hops I like in a black IPA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Prank Calls To Satan on 10 Mar 2019 at 15:47 - Score: 6. Original review text: Toffee, toasted malt and chocolate aromas. Some raisin as it warms. Smooth, with some bitter roasty notes mid-palate. Dryish

Nice, mellow Black IPA, laid back in its hoppy roastiness, but in a cool-guy-don't-give-a-shit sort of way. Chocolate, caramel, and coffee cherries mix with spicy pine and grapefruit, leading to a cocoa-dusted, modestly bitter fade. A little rough around the edges (has a very young brewpub vibe), and it's more like a ruby-brown IPA than a black IPA, but very drinkable.

Can. A- Roasty, roasted vegetables, burnt coffee, mild cocoa. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Stale coffee, mild sweet cream, roasty, slightly earthy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- Not bad but for a sweet stout it was rather roasty and earthy while only minor sweetness. Not exactly what I was looking for but overall a solid stout.

Taste from a bottle at James' house. Pours black, with a small, tan head. The aroma is hard coffee, bourbon, roasted oak, maple, and soy sauce. Sweet and sugary, with a sharp bitterness. Heavy body, with a hard, sticky, mouthfeel. This is an interesting and aggressive stout.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish orange gold with a finger of egg-shell colored white foam that dissipates to a ring. Overripe orange, grapefruit, caramel and pine aromas dominate. A touch of pineapple as it warms. Amarillo comes though big on the palate with more overripe citrus, bitter pine and pithy grapefruit notes. A throwback to an earlier era of IPA, but still enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gerty on 14 Feb 2019 at 22:48 - Score: 7. Original review text: Overripe orange, grapefruit, caramel & pine atomS. More of the same on the palate with solid pithy bitterness. More caramel & pith on finish

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Big dried Meyer lemon aromas with pungent zest, yeast and peppery aromas. Quite astringent and bitter on the palate. Very drying. More burned yeast and pepper notes followed by lemongrass and more dried lemon. Lingering astringency and yeast pepper on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Boomslang on 02 Feb 2019 at 01:13 - Score: 6

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Lots of watermelon, melon, a bit of cucumber, lacto, metallic, dusty notes. Not really my thing.

2016 bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours black with a finger of beige head that dissipates. Big bourbon forward nose with oak, coffee, brownie fudge and cacao notes. More bourbon on the palate, vanilla and roasted malt bitterness. Bourbon is well-integrated without feeling boozy. Vanilla sweetness and roasted malt on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Astronaut Status Barrel Aged Imperial Stout on 13 Jan 2019 at 10:55 - Score: 8. Original review text: 2016
