Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed Saturday 23rd August 2025 at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival sat inside Frank. Bands we've seen today are Leftovers, Endless Wellness, Gewalt and Warmduscher. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. This is another beer that is really not quite West Coast IPA more, East Coast IPA but buzzed up, bitter, hippy, but still retains NEIPA elements. It's a good beer, but not really resinous, too soft and lacks a crispness, it's dry on the finish though and I really like it but would fall short when up against the big hitters of the West Coast IPA scene

Bottle picked up from Mpreis, Leutasch, Austrian and consumed at home Sunday 24th August 2025 after a nice weekend at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival, we've got Courgette Lasagna tonight for tea. This pours clear gold with a mid sized white head. Okay it's a bit sweet, okay it's a little bit industrial, however this aside it's not bad. Thick mouthfeel, more going on than anticipated, light fruity but then a syrup and honey flood, warming and more than a bit boozy but not without it's charms.

Bottle picked up from Äpfel Getränke Moosburg and consumed at home Sunday 24th August 2025 after a nice weekend at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival, we've got Courgette Lasagna tonight for tea. This pours hazy gold with a mid sized white head. Not sure about this, the aroma is not bad, bit taste is a touch to sour for my liking, I think that it's infected, mouthfeel is fine, interestingly aroma as indicated is ok, nothing special but not indicating infected but tastewise not great at all. I will look for this again but for now a couple of sips is all I can manage.

Bottle picked up from a Getrankemarkt in Günzburg and consumed at home Sunday 24th August 2025 after a nice weekend at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival, we've got Courgette Lasagna tonight for tea. This pours hazy gold with a mid sized white head. Light hoppiness perhaps more so on the nose, easy drinking malty, some bitterness but not much, a little fruity, also a little grassy hoppiness. Fine.

Bottle picked up from a Getrankemarkt in Günzburg and consumed at home Sunday 24th August 2025 after a nice weekend at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival, we've got Courgette Lasagna tonight for tea. This pours mid gold, excellent clarity, slim/mid sized white head, looks very good. A thrusting bite to it for a Hell, the usual malt and sweetness is a little shy, but it's good, pleasant bitter bite, some citrus notes and flavours very good.

Bottle picked up from a Getrankemarkt (the name of this beer) yesterday in Günzburg and consumed Friday 22nd August 2025 at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival sat outside Frank. We've seen Carsick, LISÆ, Theodor, Motel Erb thus far today. Back to the beer, pours hazy yellow/gold with a mid sized white head. Soft mouthfeel, light malty, okay but no great shakes, though perhaps not as bad as expected considering the other reviews. Actually the more I drink the less I think of it, it's not a very good beer.

Bottle picked up from the brewery yesterday and consumed Friday 22nd August 2025 at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival sat outside Frank. Pours hazy yellow/gold with a small fast disappearing white head. Fairly middling taste, a little bit sweet, some honey and cereal combine, not too much in the way of hoppiness on show and any bitterness is very shy. Fine.

Draft at Herrenkeller, Ulm, Friday 22nd August 2025, we are stopping near by at Dornstadt for the Ulm Obstwiesenfestival. Difficult to be certain on the appearance as it's served in a Stein, however I suspect hazy yellow with a large white head. Taste is very good, a nice bitterness leads to a dry finish, a bit of maltiness shows, a little mineral and flinty edge. I like this but looking at other reviews, particularly from bottle there is not much love for this, maybe on tap is the only way forward.

We visited here Wednesday 20th August 2025, and also stayed overnight in the campervan in their carpark. Leipheim and its Brewpub are very handily situated just a very short distance off the motorway, the brewpub is located close to the centre of the small town and also not far from the railway station. It's located on a corner with the small carpark opposite, just a 100m or so from the main church, the roof of which must have accommodated 8-10 White Storks tonight.

We sat inside as the weather wasn't altogether reliable, as it turned out it remained dry until the early hours. Staff were busy, yet attentive and quick with service. Our Hell and Hefeweisse arrived swiftly and were both very good. Prices for both drinks and food very reasonable. Our bill came to €48 for two main meals (more details below) and two beers each.

It being a Wednesday night we assumed it wouldn't be too busy, how wrong we were it was very busy, at one point after we'd finished eating our Schnitzel (Cordon Bleu Loz Jaeger Fin) they asked if we'd move to another table as they had a couple of families coming in, of course it wasn't an issue for us, so they rewarded us with whatever Schnapps or fruit Likör we wanted.

We liked it here, friendly, all ages and people types accomodated, beers and food very good, unfussy, it ticked all the boxes.

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop, Hamburg and consumed Thursday 21st August 2025, we're back sat drinking it in Frank we've seen the last 3-4 songs from Gobilove and now Kapelle Petra but now back in the campervan field in Frank as it's still lashing it down with rain at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival. Served a bit too cold (my fault), slowly warming up. Appearance in this gloomy light suggests straightforward dark brown with a mid sized light beige head. Soft mouthfeel, gentle but building roastiness, light bitterness, there's a little bit of cappuccino with some chocolate powder, caramel also. Very nice and as it's warming up it's improving more and more.
