Keg draught at Brew Tavern, Nottingham. Light to mid-gold and clear with a medium sized white head. Aroma is grain and lemon with some savoury bread notes. Sweet and savoury taste. Slightly sweaty with malt always to the fore. Medium.body and carbonation. You can't do better for a Czech pilsner.

Oh my Lord. Like BeerHeadZ but better. Maybe. The usual four cask and four keg, except I think there's about six keg now and the choice is wonderfully insane. Enjoying a Vinohradský 11 but there are so many wonderful beers available here from the UK and beyond. Its a gorgeous little kicropub that seats about 20 people I side hut the outside patio seating has been extended to seat again as many. Worth checking out for a beer or four.

Keg draught at the Barley Twist, Nottingham. Brownish black, opaque with the tiniest possible off-white head. Nutty aroma with some milk chocolate. Taste is full of chocolate, pistachio, caramel. Light bitterness on the finish but overall this is a sweet beer. Medium body with soft and inobtrusive carbonation. I'd like more but I'm OK with what I have.

Handpull cask at the Dandy Cock Ale House, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Light to mid-brown,not particularly translucent with a thick beige/khaki head. Dark malts aroma with notes of smoke and smoked meats. Sweet taste, quite hea y for a mild, more sweaty deluxe meat character. Finishes meatily. Medium body, soft to nil carbonation. A hard sell.

Handpull cask at the Dog House, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Light to medium gold, clear with a small white head leaving generous lacing. Honey, marmalade, orchard fruit, lemon curd. Bittersweet taste, lots of orange notes, more honey, some boiled sweet. More bitterness in the finish. Medium and slightly oily body, soft to nil carbonation. Reasonable pale ale.

Kegvdraught at the brewery tap. Orange brown with a tiny ring of off-white head. Aroma is mango and passionfruit and I would swear I'm getting papaya as well. Sour taste with lots of intense fruit: mango, papaya, kiwi, passionfrtuit. Some earthy notes in the finish. Lemon zest and mango in the aftertaste. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Draught keg at the brewery tap, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Dark brown, opaque with a big but quickly dissipating khaki head. Massive coffee aroma with floral and liquorice characters. Some earth and a little hit of tobacco. Complex taste, bittersweet with flashes of umami. Getting coffee, molasses, lavender. Medium body and carbonation. A little strange but still nice.
