Mold has a surprising amount of good pubs, including this one. The Beer Lab can definitely be classed as a micropub but it is larger and more spacious than many such places. It is new (2023) with wooden flooring and furtinute, and full length windows letting inloads of light.Super friendly service. Four cask and six keg plus quite a few bottles (UK craft and well-known Continentals). Atom, Grey Trees, Paulaner, Hafod, Sierra Nevada. The only problem was that I'd had many of the draught beers before, but there were still loads to tick. Impressive, only issue for me is they don't do halves of all the beers (1/3, 2/3 and pints).

This restaurant-y pub is quite similar to its Wrexham branch, but visiting in the daytime meant it was friendlier and quieter. It's quite large, with loads of seating around the pub, a lovely little conservatory, and some additional outside seating. The beer, again, until up to much, but you might get a tick as I did from one of their two casks (Salopian and Hafod). Wrexham Lager as well, incase you somehow have avoided this beer so far. Prices are a bit much but not impossible. Good cocktail menu. Worth checking out.

Keg draught from the Beer Lab, Mold. Light yellow gold, a little hazy with visible carbonation and a very thin white head. Notes of ground coriander, banana peel, sourdough. Sweet taste with a sharp sourness cutting through. Bready with more banana and coriander. Very light body with medium carbonation. Interesting.

Wonderful venue in the town centre. Small one-room bar, traditional yet smart, with wooden flooring and furniture. Selection is not the largest but very well curated with five cask and six keg including Beartown, Bearwood, Holy Goat and Pentrich. Prices are very reasonable. Not a place to miss if you're in Mold.

Keg draught at the Mold Alehouse. Light yellow gold, hazy with a swirl of white head. A lot of melon in the aroma, some green tropical hop, pineapple, white grapefruit. Taste is bittersweet, astringent and intense, lots of hop but maybe not quite as much balance as I'd like ideally. Finish is noticeably bitter. Thin to medium body with soft carbonation. It's not bad at all but a little bit more subtly wouldn't go amiss.
