Bottle drunk at home. Dark brown with a tall tan head. Great flavor with brown sugar, roasted malt, powerful bitterness, nice complexity. It's not too sweet like a lot of dark Bock beer can be. Quite some earthy/foresty hop bitterness going on. Top notch!

Can from day 2 of my Beer Republic advent calendar, drunk with mixed tasty leftovers. Great apricot and mild hops nose with grain, reminds me of... Was it Number 9? Magic Hat. Back in the day. Great caramel notes, well blended fruit and hops, mid complexity and nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. Excellent Advent pick!

From the Beer Republic Green advent calendar, Day1, drunk watching Stranger Things 5 after a TGTG pizza from Donatello. Mostly clear amber, caramel nose with citrus and a hint of bubblegum. Rather sweet, tutti-frutti with smooth bitterness. Tasty, maybe a bit sweeter than my usual preference but the big bitterness balances it nicely.

Bottle drunk rewatching Stranger Things S4. Dark brown, fine bubbled tan head. Woody rye nose, hints of sweetness. Red wine on the tongue, full and juicy, nice and velvety mouthfeel with some port wine sweetness noticeable on the finish. Nicely integrated tartness, with coffee-like toasty notes complemented by the juiciness of red grapes.

From last year's advent calendar. Inky dark brown high viscosity, small head. Nose of sweet dark sugar, light soy, bready goodness. Very sweet on the tongue, smooth with hints of refined spirits. Syrupy cognac and vanilla. Very tasty, definitely on the dessert-sweet side of the force.

Drunk watching season 4 of Stranger Things and thinking of Max. Light gold with mild haze, amazing nose of caramel, apricot, and heady sweet flowers. The flavor is smooth dry goodness with hints of grain, warm pine forest, and stone fruit/citrus hop notes. Awesome Higgins x YK!

Half liter can procured at a supermarket in Hsinchu, drunk at the hotel after Italian dinner with Lagrein and Baladin. Light amber with mild haze, tall short-lived head. Nose of faint yuzu, grain, yes i think coriander. Flavor is a bit thin, mild hops, a bit grainy with a hint of citrus. It's alright, needs a bit more body/flavor and hops. Have i tried a craft beer from Taiwan? Might be the first so that's something!

Drunk at Enoteca Piccola in Hsinchu. Amber hazy, mildly spicy herbal flavor, full and lightly sweet mouthfeel. Nice complexity, well balanced, excellent!

Beer purchased in a Supermarket in Hsinchu, drunk at the hotel with buckwheat seaweed crisps. Mostly clear on first pour, decent head with moderate holding power for a Wit. Good aroma of citrus, mild grain, sharp. Flavor has big yuzu citrus and mild but present coriander. No fancy overtones from the yeast. Not overly complex but meeting the basic style.
