Olut Profile - Brewver

Final beer afterthought after visiting the Stockport Beer Festival earlier. Amber-brown, but the latter is king here. It looks dark but has a creamy-hoppy character, coming across quite soft textured. The darker red ale styling is there, and more than evident, but not dominant. Decent hopped darker one though.

A penultimate of the day being an afterthought of the Stockport Beer Festival on the way home. Hazy pale golden with a mild carbonation. It's very crisp, which negates some of its character. Hoppy and mainly smooth for the end result here. Creamy fruit a second.

Third of five Stockport Beer Festival afterthoughts passing through Manchester. More fruited than sour for this hazy golden brew, but not lesser for it. Crisp and fizzy, mild aniseed seems to be available, probably enabled because of a low sourness.

A World Cup Of Beers#24. GERMANY. An international brew with the football and for this golden and heavy carbonated pour I've dug-out my seldom-used Erdinger glass as it seemed appropriate to use even though the style I am putting into it is not what it was made for. The helles I put into it is fair, not quite as stated as I might have expected but no less drinkable. Lots of lager malt, yeasts, dough, combining to give it a slightly spiced blast. Drank whilst watching the WC game involving a current host nation and the next one - Canada vs Morocco.

A World Cup Of Beers#23. ITALY. An international brew with the football once found on keg at the Medicine Tap in Rochdale, but this is the modern bottled version, which is golden and only slightly hazy for being unfiltered. This aspect does impact its taste, although it's fairly standard lager so only to an extent. What does stand out though its its higher bitterness factor on this pour, which further edges out an already flavourless mix of earthy pantry flavours, with its honey just evident. Drank this one whilst watching only the second ever World Cup game to feature a host country playing on foreign grass - Canada vs Morocco.

Second post Stockport Beer Festival beer at Northern Monk in Manchester, which I probably don't need. Hazy light golden appearance. Tropical fruit is just about dominant over pine, both are available in a very slightly dryish aroma and taste

Stockport Beer Festival 2026 Beer#20. Last of the festival for me and a strong one to finish with the A6 beer, a road I know well, being a heavy dark malt homage to one of the longest UK roads. It's not got much dark character despite its dark-brown appearance. Drinkable but othing out of the ordinary here.
