Deadication beer to Australian Rugby League player Ian Moir - he would have felled a few runners in his time, was born on this day in 1932. Traditional blonde ale in colour and flavour with a traditional bottle-conditioned texture and taste. Nice hoppy character without being anything exemplary.

Odd numbered years used to mean a summer off watching football - not anymore. Not sure if that's a celebration or complaint... but I'm watching! No complaints with this very sweet-fruity IPA. Hazy and citrus based tropical notes in both aroma and taste, without much bitterness. Good body but not heavy. Excellent art-work on the can, which is what this beer celebrates.

Large farm shop, cafe and restaurant, which is more like a department store in reality given the huge range of products they sell here, and certainly not limited to countryside items. It's not a huge selection but visitors can find local beers here, some I never saw elsewhere, and it also had the best selection of ciders available that I found on the island of Jersey. They're not all in the same place so you may need to look around to find the full selection. A few micro-brews from southern England also on sale, everything at very fair prices too.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#32. ST AUBIN. Very dark copper with a creamy head. Smoothish and easy with a mid-bitterness. Traditionally English taste, which is no surprise given its ingredients. Enjoyed on the decked terrace of a Liberation pub overlooking the quaint harbour in St Aubin in Jersey.

Somewhat boutique on the inside, with a nautical enough looking outside decking designed to go with the view of the small boats harbour directly in front. It's at the quieter end of this haven in the small seafront conurbation. Food served throughout but there is a dedicated restaurant space here, and you can stay here too with rooms above. There's a function room stocked with wines against its walls, but for beer Liberation Ales are the order of the day given it's their pub in cask, keg or their bottles in a fridge.
