(Bottle) Hazy dark reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dried fruit, dates, fruit cake, treacle toffee, apricots marmalade, nuts, chocolate and orange peel. Malty, slightly vinous taste with dates, dried fruit, bread, treacle toffee, caramel, apricot marmalade, nuts, chocolate, orange peel and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, sweet. Clean and well balanced, hides the alcohol quite well. Very nice.

(Visited May 2025) New addition to the Craft Beer chain. Located just around the corner from Paddington station. Perfectly loacated for a pint just after arriving or before leaving, in an area in great need of a good pub. Interior much like some of the other Craft pubs, but this time in green. Six hand pumps, in good condition on my visit, and 25-30 keg taps. Good bottle selection. Food is mainly burgers. Swift and friendly service. Great place, as expected. Will certainly be back.

The most centrally located pub in the Craft Beer Co empire, in the corner of High Holborn and Endell Street. Fairly narrow and long upstairs bar. Additional seating in the basement. Up to 15 handpumps with beers or ciders, usually in good condition. 30 keg taps, mainly with British craft beers, possibly some imports. Always a couple of Kernel beers. Friendly and efficient service. Inhabited by all sorts: beer geeks, tourists, theater goers and so on. Open later than most pubs, meaning there will be a late spillover from closing pubs. Within walking distance from my usual hotel, so a natural last stop. A must visit.

gave a cheers!
