For me one proper and honest beer review is more worth than 100 ticks without any relevant content. It’s all about respect for the beer and the craftmanship behind. I will always try to do my best for a proper rating than playing the number game.

Can from Gulating. Unclear golden body under a big, foamy white head. Aroma has some malt with distinct brown cheese/caramel. Taste is smooth with malt and brown cheese, medium sweet lactose and moderate bitter. Without knowing this is brown cheese, it could easily go for mild caramel or toffee. Actually, a pretty balanced pastry beer at only 4,7 % ABV. Unusually, fun and quite drinkable.

Can from Gulating. Unclear golden body under a big, foamy white head. Aroma is mild malty with no sign of choco. Taste is also on the malty side, medium sweet with a slightly sour touch and hint of some kind of bitterness, not necessary from the hops. Medium body with average aftertaste. Not the best or interesting beer from this calendar.

Can from Gulating. Slightly unclear golden body under a big, foamy white head. Aroma has malt with distinct caramel and toffee. Taste is sweet malt with roasted, slightly bitter caramel. Not as sweet as expected at all. In the world of extreme sweet pastry beers with artificial flavours this is quite different. More towards a kind of old-fashioned approach, if you put it that way. It does not taste like these typical kind of classic Christmas beer with caramel malt either, this is more like a golden ale or something added with Werther's Original caramel candies. Unusually but quite nice actually. Medium body and a rather dry, caramel finish.
