Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21B, adapted). Bottle 33 cl - Batch A. AROMA: a blend of smoked malt aroma with hop notes (pine and resin and some tropical fruit). balance a bit towards the smoked malt. APPEARANCE: ambar color and hazy. average moussy ivory head with average retention. TASTE: hop flavours of tropical nature (green mango) and some pine, with a restrained smoked malt background. high bitterness that lasts beyond an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium body with a slight texture. medium carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: an interesting combination but is it worth it?
