The next beer might even be better. B.C."H." = British Cask "Head" - to be perceived as some disparate lonely looking bubbles, uncertain of their CO² content, and because of their scarcity, of undefinable colour. UFO's: Unspeakable Floating Obscenities MF: NO, that isn't it. That's mouthfeel, in civilized countries. I hereby solemny propose a law to be instated by all beergeeks, -amateurs, -lovers, -tasters, - enthusiasts that forthwith the use of the infernal spice, known as coriander, is forbidden for at least the five first years of brewing, and later only to be tolerated by explicit consent of minimum five different accredited beerorganisations. Infringements ought to be sanctioned by denouncement to the international beerpress and public drainpour of the offending brew.

Short lived fine snowwhite head over almost still metallic clear golden beer; end of bottle solid deposit. Unripe peach or nectarine, herbs, chamomille, unripe green fruit, rhubarb. Very delicate & light acidity; lemony if less sharp. Floral, spring flowers. Really distinctive. Unripe mirabelles, cidery, non-sweet apples. Light; despite still looks, fine pearling sensation, faintly slick. Another great beer, Mr. Sládek. But, where is it brewed?

Draught Very thick-set, dense, light yellow head, ultra stable over fully hazy, pressed orange juice-like beer, leaving shards of lace. Nice mix of citrus, orange, springleaves, young green herbs, but also some dishwash water. Rather neutral main taste, orange rind. Sweet, very restrained bitterness, suggestion of (fruit)acidity. Faintly sticky, hopoily, feels well carboanted, fruit/protein filled. Nice nose - but the flavour remains very down-to-earth.

Good, stable, off-white head over deep copper, clear beer. The smoke comes a mile out upon opening. Nuts, smoked wood, oak, wheat-like. Rauchmalz, smoked wood, sweet restsugars. Very faint acidity, and of course very malty. Finish has some cigarette ashes. Full bodied, good carbonation, feels stronger than it is. Nice, classic.

Small, fast dwindling, lightly cream-coloured head over hazy reddish brown beer; some lacerings. Faraway farmyard/horseblanket, hints of chocolate(malt), bit sweet - suggesting corn. Again this hint of chocolate/cacao powder, immediately followed by lactic acid and farmyard flavours, if all mild. Wood, lemon, muddy medlar. I don't get the cognac, however, and there is no alcoholic streak. Acidthinning and light -burn, well-carbonated, medium bodied at best. Original, interesting. But we both preferred the last Lindemans specials. To me, it still is a gueuze, but not everybody agreed.

Thick-set, lightly yellowish head, stable, over reddish rustbrown beer. Lactic acid, point of acetic acid, vinous, also a tad of rubber; raisins, candi sugar, slightly soured sweetened milk. Lactic acid, rather mild for Rodenbach, candi sugar (Wayland syrup?), raisins, plums and a dash of lemon. (Red) fruity. Lipsmacking acidity, acidthinning, but quite slick, almost sticky. Good carbonation. Excellent one - the kind Rudy preferred. Txs to Stef!

No head to get on this; dirty rusty-brown beer, still. Grapey nose, raisins, alcohol & fusels. Again raisins, alcohol; some bitterness over underlying sweetness; bit syrupy, maltsugars. Bitterish plums. Warming up, the flavours blend better, achieving balance. Alcoholthinning. Aftertaste has a faint sourish hint, quite welcome. Starts a tad raw, but gradually it feels better and better, ending quite good.

- 1 point for the unnecessary wax. Ink-black beer, pouring viscously, still for some transparant bubbles on top. Cocos, chocolate, maple syrup, (hazel)nuts, Nutella, boneglue. Ultra sweet. Cocos in the foreground. Faint stoutacidity on the lips, but the rest is maplesyrup, cocos, hazelnut. Chewy, viscous, almost solid, alcoholheat. Christos, this is absolutely the stuff to glue one's mouth shut. And with the certainty to repeat myself, where is this brewed?? Txs to Stef!

Pale tan head, very dense, fine & stable, virtually black beer. Salted liquorice, zoute drop , toilet soap, ginger, X-mas herbs. Again salted jap, liquorice, liquorice drink, very faint hint of ginger, aniseed. Medium bodied, but very slick & viscous, despite quite carbonated. We knew this as children. We called it japwater , if non alcoholic, and convinced ourselves it was good against the common cold. Is this stout - and another question - is this a real brewery? Txs to Stef!
