The next beer might even be better. B.C."H." = British Cask "Head" - to be perceived as some disparate lonely looking bubbles, uncertain of their CO² content, and because of their scarcity, of undefinable colour. UFO's: Unspeakable Floating Obscenities MF: NO, that isn't it. That's mouthfeel, in civilized countries. I hereby solemny propose a law to be instated by all beergeeks, -amateurs, -lovers, -tasters, - enthusiasts that forthwith the use of the infernal spice, known as coriander, is forbidden for at least the five first years of brewing, and later only to be tolerated by explicit consent of minimum five different accredited beerorganisations. Infringements ought to be sanctioned by denouncement to the international beerpress and public drainpour of the offending brew.

Draught No head but whitish rim over fully hazy ochre-orange beer. Fruity, fruitbushes, pineapple, unripe fruit, wild fruit (fact, that). Sour, sour fruit - and indeed, quetsches; lemon. But for the rest, not very distinctive - misses lambic touches. Light body, light acidburn, faint lipsmacking acidity, not very carbonated obviously. Nice, if a tad underwhelming.

Draught Good, fine & dense whitish head over fully hazy, ochre-yellow beer; rings of lace. Citrus, fresh-smelling, bit ureum, faint fresh pale malts. More ureum, asafoetida, bit burning MF, but not overhopped - almost. Grapefruitpeel, if somewhat sweetened, orangezest. Quite slick, almost as carbonated fruitjuice. Decent, nothing more.

Draught Good off-white head over pale golden beer, fine pearling. C-hops, asafoetida, aromatic, citrus. Citrus returning, citruspeel, bitter grapefruitflavour gradually increasing. Very nice finish with mild bitterness from exotic fruit/citrus; well balanced too as it sports more maltimpression as well. Fine spritzy carbonation, bit slick. Medium bodied at best. Interesting, Caledonian take on a West Coast IPA - I suppose they didn't mean the Hebrides?

Draught Very good, lacey head over faintly veiled pale amber beer. Very malty, as entering a brewery, hints of green herbs/spices. Toasted matls, lots of restsugars, but the finish is dry, as wet straw, bittering hops, metallic. Hints of greenmalt. Quite lively, feels surprisingly well-bodied for its ABV, slick. Surprising light beer, in the best UK way. If kegged, sorry CAMRA.

Draught Ultra dense & fine, bit cram-coloured head over clear amber beer, rings of lace. Sweetish, caramel, toasted malts (crystal?). Sweet, faintly toasted, but ending absolutely neutral, almost watery. Light body, mild carbonation. Slick; empty finish. Ends disappointing.

Absolutely towering white head produced by explosive opening. Some orange-golden fluid underneath. Very dry nose - horseblanket, straw, dust - dust as from the horsetrack. Immortelles, marigolds. Very mild lambic. Again floral, honey caramel, flowers turned into sweets, sunflower, sweetcorn. Again this sawdust, horse corral impression. Light body, not very carbonated any longer, slick, wheaty character. Frank. Can a gueuze be too mals? If so, this is it. Txs to Stef!

Small whitish rim over orange to terra cotta beer, veiled. Very fruity, but also grassy, farmyard, horseblanket. Dark fruit - could be blackberries, could be plums, could be dark grapes. Ultra dry and tart, fruity, bit vinous. Again fruity, if impossible to say what fruit served blind. Acidthinning, lipsmacking acidity, well-carbonated - if not visually - , refreshing. Delicate and vinous, but it isn't an all-powerful fruitlambic.

Another viscous, motor oil-like black beer with some disparate bubbles on top. Treacle, liquorice, cocos, hint of mocha, chocolate, molasses. Alcohol overobvious, if balanced more or less by black chocolate, mocha. Faint metallic, coppery even. The oats make it creamy, despite all the alcoholthinning. Furious alcoholburn, fiery. Still full bodied. Impressive beer, no doubt, but more overwhelming than deep-complex. Txs to Stef!

Small tan rim over deep dark-brown beer. -1 point for the #*#§!!%%! wax. Deep rum/whisky nose with wine-drenched wood and indeed plums (though blind I would have guessed blue plums rather than mirabelles). Sweet-sourish. Alcoholic-fruity; raisins, plums, prunes, stonefruit, vinous. Marvellous balance between all the flavours, blending in. Rich alcoholic, warm feel, undercarbonated, voluptuous. Despite the alcohol, one would keep sipping this. Definitely one of Põhjala's outstanding ones.
