Bottle. No idea where from. Says fuck all about “Dry” on the label. Clear gold obvs. Has a head. Tannic and baked apple. Pretty sweet with some twang. Pedestrian affair. Nothing to see here.

Bottle. From the petrol station at Brancaster. Cheap Baron Bigod. Fill up here before driving home. Think I’m going to move down here when I’m retired. Raspberry tinged bev is a bit IPA like. Bitter and reasonably easy drinking. Can’t imagine why this got brewed. Daft bollocks beer.

375ml bottle. Beer Central. Looks like a NE TIPA. Solid orange with a beautiful thick glossy lasting white foam. Nose has sweet plum and yellow gage. Twang of sweet white grape. Nice bright shoe leather funk. Taste is sharp tart and fruity. Like stewed rhubarb and plum compote type of thing. Foamy juicy mouthfeel. Juicy tart finish. Class.

Bottle. Caves Ermitage. Hazed glowing deep gold. Stunner of a self maintaining glossy topped just off white lasting swede. Easy 10. Nose has vibrant citrus peel. Ripe and luscious. Peach flesh and stone. Sweaty brett. New suede shoes. Oak. Vanilla. I mean it’s all here. Taste is tart juicy sweet and citrusy. Mouthfeel is perfect. Juicy and cleansing. Foamy bright carbonation. Fruity tart and juicy finish. Woosh. Beautiful.

Bottle probably via the short lived online shop. Now way out date, although it’s been in the fridge since purchase. Clear deep purple red. No head. Nose has some oxidation as you might expect but on top there’s a load of sweet dessert cherry. Almond extract. Bit of vanilla. Very trifle-esque. Taste is sweet and nothing else. Slick and warming but very easy drinking. Sweet finish. Tooth rot. Good though.

Excellent gets 7.6 ffs. Bottle from the petrol station in Brancaster Staithe that one day I’ll get round to adding on here. Although probably not. Anyway. Clear deep amber. Slim swirl of beige. Nose has some sweet toffee apple thing. Bit of sick. Taste is sweet. Little else. Doesn’t feel 10% to be fair but it’s not easy drinking. Slick and oily. Sweet surprisingly thin finish. Grim. Sink job.

Can. HOTM I think. Sits nearly black. Slim light tan swede is sticky and lasting. Boss looker. Nose has fudgy vanilla coffee notes. Some vinous notes. Earthy roasted malts. Taste is pretty sweet overall with some light tangy bitterness. Smooth with good depth. Sweetness does subside eventually although not enough to fully balance it out. Tasty gear mind. Enjoyed it. Just a bit sweet.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines. Sits black. Decent beige foam is sturdy lasting and semi lacing. Looks boss. Nose has almond macaron. Cherry purée. Cherry liqueur chocolate. Bit of a chocolate ice cream thing. Also some beery notes of dark roast malt. Taste is not as sweet as you might expect with a decent roast malt bitterness throughout. Bit of a fruity twang. Good body overall. Moderate bitterness to finish. Why can’t Abbeydale make all their beer to this standard?

375ml bottle (not sure there were any others tbh). 20/21 on the neck label. Carted back from Caves Ermitage opposite the Loon Factory ages ago. Been in the fridge since. Hazed kind of bronze slightly purple tinged thing. Slim ring of lasting white foam. Looks good albeit a little odd. Perfumed nose amounts to red grape and grape stalk and pip. Gently sweaty funk. Light woody notes. Tiny bit of soap. Taste has some nice fruity sweetness initially getting tart dry and lightly bitter. Drinkably light overall with brisk fine carbonation. Dry and fruity tart finish. Lambic Lite. Nice.
