Keg at St Machar Bar, Aberdeen. It pours murky orangey - rose with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, perfumed, pic n mix, fizzy strawberry candy, vanilla and rhubarb & custard boiled sweets. The taste is fairly crisp up front, tart, puckering, quite thick, pic n mix, fizzy strawberry candy, karate belts, fruit smoothie, sugary, tangy and a nip of alcohol. Medium+ body and fine, prickly carbonation. Probably too sweet for the the likes of me, but it's good fun in small doses.

Bottle in the street, purchased from Grosik, George St Aberdeen. It looks pale yellow to me with a thick fluffy white head. The aroma is pale grains, grassy, herbal, touch of spice and paper. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, rich of bitterness, supported by sweet bready and biscuity malts, sponge cake, pale grains and the like. Finish is dry. Light alcohol. Presence. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Chilled on a sunny day this is not bad.

Can picked up at BD Castlegate. It pours crystal clear pale yellow - gold with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, ripe berry character, summer fruits, splash of ribena and funny candy. The taste is crisp, dry, mellow bitterness, berry skin, dull fruity tartness, summer fruits, fruit salad, fairly clean, floral accents and some biscuit in the malt with a dry, berry skin finish. Average to light body and moderate carbonation. Doesn't feel fake / artificial like BD "fruity" beers have had over he last few years, which works for me. Perhaps a bit boring though.

Keg at BrewDog Castlegate. It pours clear pale yellow with a fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, grassy, herbal, minty, straw, lychee, muted lime, bread, biscuit and a touch of damp grain. The taste is brighter, more vibrant, crispy, dry, snappy, pleasing bitterness, grassy, herbal, lime peel, zingy, biscuity malt, brioche and a nip of alcohol with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Like the stronger abv on this. An interesting lagerbier.

Keg at BrewDog Castlegate. It pours opaque jet black qith a small deept tan to brown head. The aroma is dark, decadent, unctuous, oily, dark roasted malt, charred wood, cacao nibs, toasted nut, pecan pie, burnt toast, heady notes of maple syrup, maple glazed donut, puff of pipe tobacco and treacle toffee. The taste is slick, oily, thick, chewy, bitter - sweet character, dark toasted malt, charred wood, toasted nuts, pecan, bitter walnut, cacao nibs, premium dark chocolate, molasses, umami, toasted sesame, liquorice allsorts, maple glazed donut and boozey warmth through a dark roasted and nutty finish. Fulsome body, moderate carbonation and slick/oily mouth feel. Coats your ribs. Not too sweet, has a good umami backdrop. Nice one

Can picked up from Fierce bar, Abz. It pours clear copper with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, green, sappy, resinous, sticky pine, tree bark, toffee, grapefruit and marmalade. The taste is initially dry and pretty bitter, green, west coast herbal dankness, spicy, pine, resin, touch of tannin, grapefruit, marmalade, apricot , unripe mango, waxy peel and a nip of booze with a lingering bitter citrus peel finale. Medium body and moderate, pillowy carbonation. Tasty west coaster. Chugs good.
