Bottle thanks to my bro. It pours darkest brown to black with a small fluffy off -white head. The aroma is sweet and intoxicating, bing vanilla character, vanilla fudge, toffee, intoxicating and heady bourbon character, crunchie bar, honeycomb crunch, milk chocolate, brownies and marzipan. The taste is initially smooth, quite sweet upfront, dried fruits, fruit cake, sugary, toasty, roasty, vanilla, marzipan, cake frosting, toffee, boozey slap, prickly spice, splash of cola and bourbon soaked oak with a drying, toasty and charred finale. Medium+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. A bit sweeter and perhaps not as much body as I had hoped. It's a decent beer no doubt, but not the best of series.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours clear blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, bready, biscuit, baked goods, Belgian esters, melon, poached pear, mellow banana split cubes, toasty grains, cereal, straw and nutty vibes. The taste is initially dry, crispy, bready, baked goods, biscuit, spice, fragrant, snap of bitterness, floral, juniper, pear skin, melon, green banana and a touch of alcohol with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Feels like a daisy, something I've not seen old chimneys do before, but it is very them.

Keg at Fierce Aberdeen. It pours clear pale straw yellow with a fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, fruity, stone fruits, peach, melon, passion fruit, clean and zingy. The taste is crisp, dry, clean malt base, restrained bitterness, tropical notes, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, pithy, touch grass and straw with a fairly dry, short finish. Lighter end of average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Rounded and moreish. Quite simple but it drinks very well.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours slightly hazy copper with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is bitter of zingy grapefruit, rindy, woody, leather, toasty grains and brown bread. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, woody bitterness, earth, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, pomelo, bitter rind, resin and toasty grains with a zesty finale. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Decent enough, but I definitely prefer the blonde.
