Cask at The Globe, Aberdeen. It pours clear deep orangey - gold with a fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, zingy, tangy, orangey citrus vibes, marmalade sandwiches, toasty grains, cereal and a touch of nuttiness. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, pleasing bitterness which builds and lingers, earthy, cereal, toasted nut, pithy, zesty, tangy orange marmalade, tangerine, kumquat and some orange blossom with bitter, peppery finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy cask carbonation. A fairly hearty gold with an enjoyable tangy orange citrus character. Has a fresh bitter bite to it.

Mini cask direct from the brewery. It pours crystal clear golden with a lively, rugged head. The aroma is soft, freshly baked white bread, biscuity malt, custard creams, lemon curd, fragrant florals, honeysuckle and fruit pie crust. The taste is fairly soft and smooth upfront, bready malts, biscuit, toasty grains, grassy, leafy and touch of spice with some dryness through the finish. Average body and fluffy cask carbonation. Nice aroma, but the taste feels a bit lacking to be honest. Chugs easy, but leaves me wanting for more.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. It pours crystal clear golden with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, perfumed, banana split, honeydew melon, poached pear, nougat, tapioca, you h of spice, honey cake, cracker and cereal. The taste is crisp, firm, dry, snappy, pleasing bitterness, peppery spice, slap of booze, pear, melon, green banana, soft sponge cake and crisp biscuit with a firmly dry and boozey finale. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. The alcohol is definitely a big part of this, but I am enjoying the pleasantly numbing feeling. Not as good as triple hop, but an enjoyable offering nonetheless.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours clear golden - blonde with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is fragrant, warming spice, gingersnaps, dill clove, boiled sweets, sponge cake, brioche, hay and nutty cereal. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, prickly, bitter - sweet character, candied citrus peel, pear drops, ripe melon, gooseberry, banana split, toffee and warming booze to balance out the sweetness. Dry and warming through the finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Comes together well. A good example of the style.

Mini cask purchased from the brewery. It pours hazu blonde with with a bubbly white cap. The aroma is fresh, bright orangey citrus fruits, mango, peach, nectarine, apricot, farmhouse style white bread and marmalade. The taste is firmly dry, pleasingly bitter, touch green, piney, pithy, zesty citrus, kumquat, tangerine peel, grapefruit, floral orange blossom and flinty accents. Light body and soft carbonation. Flavourful, especially given the abv. Moreish.

Can from Many Mart, Aberdeen. I drank out of the can and straight from the cooler. It is likely clear and yellow with an adequate white head. The aroma is fairly mellow, soft, sweet doughy vibes, grain, rice cakes, Rice Krispies and savoury vibes. The taste is crisp, dry, pretty mellow, grassy/leafy hops, touch of cabbage, grain, rice cakes, rice Krispies and something vaguely metallic. Finis is short and dryish. Light to average body and fine, prickly carbonation.drinsk absolutely fine. Chilled down to accompany some Asian food this works.

Can from BrewDog, Castlegate. It pours hazy pineapple yellow with a decent white head. The aroma is bright and vibrant tropical fruits, heady notes of coconut, pina cola, spearmint toothpaste, Wrigley's, pineapple and mango. The taste is crisp, pithy, zesty, bitter citrus peel, grapefruit, pomelo, coconut, green unripe banana, herbal, minty, wheat bread, grain and toasty finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Flavourful for sure, but the balance is not there. Interesting, but I wouldn't rush back.
