Bottle, picked up at the brewery. Deep, rose pink. Medium haze. No head. Leaves an odd film of sediment on the inside of the glass. Nose has berry yoghurt. Red gooseberry. Blackcurrant. Some old, wet wood. Lemon juice. Mouthwatering aroma, here. Taste has a minute of juicy sweetness, before turning acetic, underripe berry, tart and lightly sour. Tangy and bright on the palate. Soft and spritzy fizz. Sour and juicy finish. Easily one of the best CW big bottles.

26th March 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group in Chez Sophie. 75cl bottle between five. Murky red pour, wispy topping. Sour red berries rule the roost here, tart and not to my liking at all. Everyone else loved it, but my palate leans towards maltier, sweeter beers. Scored objectively.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, March 18. Pours hazy deep red, thin off-white ring of bubbles. Aroma is thorny sharp cherries, lactic. Taste is similarly thorny with a gorgeous complexity, lots of fleshy ripe tart berries, good crisp clarity of flavours. Wondrous.
