Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours clear deep amber with a decent beige head. The nose is soft, sweet, toffee, stewed orange, peach, oily action, must, damp wood, dried fruits and leather. The taste is sweet, oily, sticky, orange, tangerine, candied peel, wood, dried fruits and white sugars with a dry, orangey finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle, gift from Mum & Dad- cheers! Red with a moderate cream head and a light fizz. Warming and fruity up front, then a lot of straw in the dry finish. OK, but lacks depth- not a patch on the Fullers ones.

Clear, dark amber. Unstable, airy, offwhite head. Aroma has sweet berries, dried fruit but also metallic notes. Malty, caramelly flavour, cherries and plums. Hops in the finish together with metallic and slightly boozy notes.

Bottle. A clear, amber colored beer topped by a dense, beige head of moderate size. There’s maltyness dominating the aroma, with caramel and toffee, some higher alcohols and a fruity touch. Bready hints. The flavor has coffee hints, with bread and toffee. Warming alcohol and a decent bitterness. Full body and a soft carbonation level. Lasting finish. Way to malty this one, but sure drinkable. Not impressive in any way. 141228

Clear deep amber - brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry with a mild crispness. Light malts, trace of toffee - caramel and light dry malt cream. Mellow dried fruits and floral things. Light crisp finish. Comes over light a mellow ESB.

2013 bottle. Deep amber, beige head retreats to the rim right away. Aroma of bread crusts, prunes, raisins, almonds. Syrupy despite some carbonation. Sweet, malty, old fashioned. Dried fruit, light toffee, almonds, medium sherry, light woody spices. Not cloying, finish leans well enough towards dry. OK, just a bit tentative.

bottle from superbrugsen enghavevej. vintage 2013. recipe is different than 2012 as far as i can read. Anyways : totally clear amber, small light brown head. Looks really good. malty, slightly boozy, rounded slightly caramelly, slighly woody aroma. appears mellow an lagered. very nice.flavor is caramelly, roasted malty, faint buttery, slightly bubbly, quite thick on the palate, faint wood. tried again now 3 months later. boxed bottle from rema1000 still 2013 clear amber, small fizzy almost white head. head is a bit boring but the color is very good looking. aroma has malts, raisins , dark dried fruits in it, as well as a little alcohol. small 7 or large 6. flavor is malty, licorice, faint fruity notes, wood, strong and full flavor for an uk beer, and good malty bitterness. 7 pal 3 overall 14
