The classic American '4 Cs' are boosted further by Citra to shape a brightly bitter citrus-and-pine flavour profile in this unflinchingly hoppy IPA.

No good. Pretty awful, in fact.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Hazy golden colour, huge white head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruits (incl. lychee and rambutan), also citrus. Medium sweet flavour of said fruits and pine needles, fairly bitter finish.

330ml bottle. A couple of weeks out of date as didn’t think to check best before date. Pours gold with a light haze, large white head. Aroma is citrus zest and grapefruit pith. Nice bitter grapefruit character with a good dose of Citra. Still retains a good hop flavour.

On tap at Patrick’s. It’s a more or less clear one, golden in colour and with a small off-white head. The aroma is quite piney, with citrus zest and a faint malty touch. It’s smooth and full bodied, semi dry. Pine cones, some resin and citrus zest, as well as some malty hints in the flavor. Perhaps a tad low on bitterness, but nothing to whine about. Long hop dominated finish. The way an IPA should be, except I wouldn’t mind more of everything, alcohol included. 151219

On tap @ Patricks. Unclear golden orange body with a nice, fluffy, lacing off-white head. Aroma is nice and citric fruity, grapefruit, peach, pine and mild caramel malt. Flavor is fruity like aroma, caramel malt, orange zest and decent bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste with fruity bitterness. It’s pretty nice but all in all it’s actually just another decent, easy quaffable IPA.
