23/X/17 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: VIII/17 (2017-1821) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!
Pretty clear brown beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, some dried fruits, some candy, chocolate touch. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malts up front, pretty roasted, soft bitterness, some caramel. Aftertaste: bitter hops, sweet malts, coffee, more roasted notes, chocolate, hint of citrus. Decent porter, but not really a black ipa. Probably because we drank it past it's date though...

330ml bottle. Pours black-brown in colour with a beige foam head leaving lacing. Aroma of dank citrus hop, tobacco. Taste is roasted malty, sweet, molasses, caramel, some dark chocolate, with zesty spicy orangey citrus and pine hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, hoppy roast tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable Black IPA.

On tap at Craft Covent Garden. Black beer lasting tan head. Hoppy aroma lime. Roast dark malt. Some bitterness. Some chocolate lime flavour i mean it is a black ipa. So a little empty on the malt and some chocolate lime flavour can’t wait for this style to disappear its neither full enough for a stout nor citrus fruity enough for an ipa. The beer is fine the style is not something i enjoy.

42nd Floor Bottleshare. Opaque black - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little malt cream. Very mild roast bitterness. Trace of dark chocolate. Modest hop spice. Smooth finish. Bitter linger. Pretty drinkable.

Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Hoppy, fruity, chocolate, pine aroma. Tastes hoppy, fruity, chocolate, pine. Didn’t seem like an 8.1% beer. Decent black IPA.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenny! Pours brown with a frothy, off-white head. The nose holds burnt toast, some rindy citrus, earth. Light sweet flavour with some dry chocolate, torched earth, minerals, orange peel. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with some zesty citrus, more well toasted bread, a little cocoa, earth, minerals. Not bad.
