750 ml bottle. Pours a golden copper color. A sweet full bodied cider with lots of fruity sweet apples. A very nice sweet cider, especially for the very low ABV.

Bottle from Carrefour in Normandy. Color: Orangish golden, fast disappearring white head. Aroma: Overripe and rotten apples, funk hints. Taste: Sweet overripe and bit rotten apples. Slightly sirupy, sweet apple juice. Subtle funk hints. Quite some carbonation. Sweet like a Doux has to be, but personally I prefer the Brut Cidre. Ok.

750ml wired cork bottle from Rehills Jesmond, Newcastle. As Cidre Artisanal Bayeux Doux Cidre Bouche de Normandie. 2.5%. Opened with a pop. Sparkling orange golden colour, foamy white head that dissipates to a thin layer which retains and aroma of juicy apple, caramel hint, apple core & skin, some orchardy funk. Taste is sweet, fruity apple, alittle apple flesh & skin, woody, with caramel notes and some drying earthy tannin. Foamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, tangy tannic and lingering sweet finish. Quite drinkable, abit sweet

75cl bottle as ’Cidre Bouche de Normandie’, pretty sure it’s the same. If I see a bottle with the other name I’ll make a seperate entry. Pours clear gold. Aroma of cider orchard, apple skins, breezy funk. Taste is fruity, generally clean but does have a faint sour, wild yeast air to it. It’s not bad, but this is a little off-putting in a French cider.

0.75 l bottle, courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks a lot for sharing! Poured copper golden body with medium sized, very short living ebony head. Pretty strong sour apple aroma, with notes of cork, sympathic, scents "healthy" and "natural". Sourish flavor, apples of course, some sweetness, as it’s expected, vinegar and cork notes, too. Sourish long, bit mouth pickering finish. This one was really fine for me, I look forward to brut version.

0.75l bottle, Bayeux Cidre Bouché de Normandie Doux, shared with heavy Poured a lpale orangey-amber colour with a medium to big, slightly off white head that went away immediately. The nose is dusty, notes of cork, slightly funky/sulphury, apples. Not the most pleasant one around but does seem genuine. The taste, however was a bit of a letdown. Sweet, bit sulphury... basically an odd, kinda fakeish sweetness with a light, nice mouthpuckering appley tartness breaking through from time to time. Bit funky, notes of rice crackers maybe. And the odd sweetness again in the aftertaste. Wouldn’t exactly call it simple, but I definitely wouldn’t call it good. Shows some potential but isn’t as enjoyable as it should be...

Light amber color; poor head. Ripe, oxydized apples aroma. Medium sweet, too much CO2, very simple.
