Bottle @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours hazy light amber with airy white head. Sweetish, fruity aroma, with notes of yeast and hops. Sweetish, fruity flavour, with notes of citrus and yeast, and some hoppy touches. Rough and sourish aftertaste. Rather weak for a Golden Ale.

Tap at 2 Dogs, as 2 Dogs American Wheat. Deep gold color, cloudy, low, fine head. Citrus hop nose, grape, Nelson hops, a bit catty, bready. Crisp and tasty, N.S. hops and wheat. Simple, drinkable, good stuff.

Draught at 2 Dogs. Pretty, glowing red, a bit cloudy, with a fine, airy head. Nose or caramel, cherry, some chocolate, orange hops. Sweet, citrus flavors, caramel and chocolate. Tasty, very drinkable, with a dry, woody bitter finish.

Keg at Popeye, Tokyo (as Classic American IPA, 6%). Almost clear copper colour, minimal head. Aroma of grapefruit and caramel. Mid sweet with solid body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Resiny caramel and Earl Grey tea. Really bitter finish.

On tap at iBrew, 390 yen for a small. 5.5% it pours a dark reddish brown, black in the glass with a thin tan head. Nice roasty chocolate aroma. Thin to medium bodied, nice chocolate/cocoa powder with roasted notes. Tasty but a bit thin for a dark beer-probably Brimmer’s Best.

hazy golden amber color. Huge Saviogn blanc notes. Very big fruity mouth. Smooth, moderate bitterness. Very nice. If you don’t like fruity beers this might not appeal so much. This is really a good example of a single hopped wheat beer.

Draft - Imperial porter collab at Popeye - Roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Jet black with a decent white head. Coffee, chocolate, some raising and roast malts. A good porter.
