Description
One of the most traditional Bavarian breweries - HERRNBRÄU - is located in Ingolstadt - the city in which Duke Wilhelm IV's world-famous “Bavarian Purity Law” was announced in 1516. For over 130 years we have stood for old Bavarian brewing art and beer specialties of the finest quality. Beer and wheat beer lovers far beyond the borders of Ingolstadt and Bavaria also know and appreciate our traditional recipes and products brewed only with the best ingredients.

Hazy medium amber colour, huge frothy off-white head, dissipating slowly, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, wheat yeast, caramel, banana, metallic and clove notes. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, wheat, yeast, banana, light caramel, clove notes. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation, sweet and a bit bitter aftertaste, yeast, spicy on the tongue, acceptable weizen.

Can split at L6 at the Tipple's had tasting, from a trade with some jaun I imagine, 17/04/19. Clear golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is pale malts, straw, toasted grains, light bread dough. Taste comprises pale and bready malts, toasted grains, grass, lemon zest, cereals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad.

33cl bottle. A clear yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma of mid sweet grainy malt, straw, some cereals. Taste of grainy pale malt, straw, mild bitterness.

50cl bottle. A hazy yellow golden beer with a white had. Aroma of fresh citrus lemonade, lime. Taste of juicy citrus lemonade, not too sweet, some sugar, no beer.

Clear amber brown colour, good frothy beige head, mostly diminishing. Aroma roasted and sweet malt, caramel, dark fruits, molasses. Taste medium sweet and light malt bitter, malty, caramel, molasses, light chocolate. Medium body, watery to oily texture, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, sugary and earthy notes, too much molasses but okay dark kellerbier.

Clear deep golden colour, good frothy white head, slowly dissipating to a thin layer, minimal lacing. Aroma pale malt, grain, straw, light fruity notes. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, bit caramel, light fruitiness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, mild sweet and light bitter aftertaste, all in all decent.
