Тяжело, алкогольно и очень горько. Прям как жизнь безработного сценариста. Есть карамели правда немного.

12 ounce can purchased from Raynville Superstore and drunk at home. Bright orange gold and hazy with a large tight off-white head. Aroma of pine, a little bit of tropical fruit. Nice bitter taste, kumquat and bitter orange, some papaya. Long finish with a bit of creaminess. Full body with carbonation held back a bit. Decent, not amazing but decent.

Gas station can, consumed at the beach. Fairly clean, the malts having a touch of chewiness but not a lot. Light alcohol, but less boozy than you'd expect, because there's a fair amount of bright hops, citrus, pine, a generic mix. But the balance was pretty good.

12oz can from Trader Joe's. Drank at my daughters in Laguna Hills on 23rdAugust 2025. Poured into an old Corsendonk stemmed tulip glass, nice clean golden body, white head, a bit of a 'thin' covering to be honest. Hoppy rather than malty, although the malts do come into their own as the beer warms a little and the aroma changed from earthy hops to caramel led malty feel, as does the flavours. Enjoyed it.

Golden yellow with nice white head. Lemon, barley malt, and weedy grass aroma. Mildly sweet lemon, barley malt, and moderately bitter weedy grass/hay flavor. Good body. Better than the average Störtebeker beer.

AROMA: Slightly sweet with moderate scents of malt, biscuit, and caramel. It's very nice, but a little subdued. As the beer warms, the malt and caramel aromas become more prevalent, but the biscuit ends up getting completely lost.

APPEARANCE: Pours a clear light-gold color with an extremely tall (like 6-fingers!!), white, coarsely-frothy head, that dissipates slowly with excellent lacing. It looks very nice in my clear Pilsner.

TASTE: I'm first hit with moderate sweetness and light flavors of malt, caramel, and honey. Which is then followed by a quick "bite" of light bitterness and then finishes with a bit more sweetness. Overall, I find the flavor-profile to be a little on the mellow side. While the flavors do bloom a little as the beer warms, they still stay a little too much on the subdued side for my tastes.

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a somewhat smooth texture that gets a little silky during the finish. I would rate carbonation as average even though it feels a little soft on the palate.

OVERALL: I was really wowed by last year's (2024) collab version with Brauerei Gutmann. So I was excited to try this year's collab version with Störtebeker. Unfortunately, I liked last year's much better. This year's version, everything seems more muted (aroma, flavor, carbonation), and the flavors seem a bit more watered down. That being said, I still like this beer, and consider it a good beer for chilling out with friends. I just don't think I will be buying more of it this year. Whereas, last year's version, I bought several times throughout the season. Now if you'll excuse me, these go down so easy, I think I will go crack open another one. Prost!

Can from Nugget Market in Woodland, CA. Pours gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of European malt with some Noble hop. Med body. Flavor is malty in a good way - but fairly dry. Spicy bitterness - say Noble hop with something a bit like apple skin added in. Nice lager.
