Description

Bottle from the brewery enjoyed at home a year after purchase. Dark brown bordering on black with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Rich caramel and brown sugar with bits of chocolate, oak and fruit on the nose. More barleywine than brown so far. Thick sweet flavor with spice earth brown sugar caramel fruit. So much going on but it doesn't seem to meld well at this point. I can't find much mandarin. Decent sipper, I enjoyed it but wasn't what I was expecting.

Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate sized ecru-ish white head (which would probably be larger in a normal glass); aroma of pineapple, mango, so.e pea h, tangerine, orange peel and some oats notes; hoppy taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; good one!

Purchased at Publix, drunk in Chesterfield at Eric's house. Decent body, relatively dry, pretty citrusy with good hop bitterness. Nice that it's not too grainy flavored. Good non alk option.

Slightly unclear golden with a foamy head. Pine honey and resin, stone fruit, hay, lemon zest, coriander seeds. Dry zesty resinous bitterness, some fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry zesty resinous bittersweet finish. Pretty good crafty Pilsner!

A beer Iβve had before, thought it had been rated. It appears not. This is a 2025 edition 12 oz bottle purchased at Mr. Tβs across town recently. I pull the cap and lift into my chilled ABGB tulip glass. The appearance is a clear gold liquid topped by a thin skim of ice white foam. The nose is pine, straw and syrup. The taste far exceeds the smell, I get dankness, pine resin, plenty of malt, varnish and some dried apricot sweetness. Quite good. No lack of a thick sensation in this one and moderately bitter. Also good. I call this a high level IPA.

Tasted like caramel flavored Vicks vaporub when I first opened it but as it warms up and airs out it's much better! Hop notes dominate still with a thin caramel finish. Thanks Andy K. !

Dumbed-down from the original recipe, sweeter and boozier without being noticeably juicier, an attempt to cut in on the giant-can ubiquity of shitty Voodoo Ranger and its shitty variants. Not an improvement, no longer a reasonable alternative to 90-Minute.

Can at Quarles Fest after figuring out our cousin has COVID. Clean and mild grainy flavor, decent light bodied summer beer. Not too exciting but decent earthy hop notes.

A bright, slightly hazed, 24K gold colour with a 1 finger head of foam with some good to damn good lacing. Gorgeous looking brew.
A fairly weak nose of pine with some noticeable sweet malt notes.
Very resiny hop bitterness that stick to my tongue in a very good way. It's like pine sap and and is tasty but I find that the malt does a decent job of interjecting and providing some relief from what could be an immense bitterness that I would not totally enjoy. A very long finish and aftertaste keeps the spirit of the beer on your palate long after the swallow. And, pretty much, no sign or intrusion of the ample alcohol.
Ooops...there it is. Some warming building now.
Medium bodied bordering on full with medium carbonation, this has a great mouth feel.
This is a big old 24ozer, bottled on Dec 17, 2010, and is very delicious and surprisingly easy to drink. Thanks go out to my local retailer for picking this one up so I can enjoy it.
