Pink can as pictured for fifty cents in a fruity variety pack. Pour is a slight pink shaded clear pale with a big foaming head. Notes of berry nose permeates the olfactory, smells good, eve from afar. Tho better than the other fruity beers in this variety pack, it initially comes across like any other average dull fruit beer. Not bad, and better than expected, but it yet leaves much to be desired. I'm hoping I can pawn some of these straub fruit beers off on Douglass88 for some just as bad beers on his side of the country, heheheh. LOL. Lots of foam on this to the end anb it finishes with a slightly processed feel to it. So be it, finally tried all five brews in this variety pack.

Had low hopes for this considering the other few I had out of this fruity five pack. Looks pretty good out of the can. Smell is typical spiced pumpkin. Taste is a little rough at first but now I think I'm gettin used to it. Yepper, quite a unique pumky olfactory. I'd say this pumkin is a little different than many domestic pumpkins. Pump key, pump key, pump key. Could use a little less pumpkin impact on the buds. I think I can feel some real straub lager in there, just maybe.

The correct name for this is Peter Straub Winter Bash, a part of the Peter Straub Signature Series. Its in a brownish can. Got it in a variety pack for 50 cents. Pour is slight haze on pale. Lots of fruit in the nose. Taste is rather rind like and orange, off sweet candy. I must say however, its a little better than the other two I've had out of this variety pack, ghose were a little artificial on the palate. Hard to pick out the raspberry in this, if there is any. You know, overall I don't think these fruited straub beer series live up to the reputation of Straub but I guess they're just trying to get on the wave of 10,000 new beers that so called beer experts are seeking out. Decent tick, but would not purchase again. Straub needs to stick to the basics of really good plain old lagers and lager related drinks, that's were they shine.

Pour is slightly tinted pink pale. Slight grape nose. Initially, it does have this grape flavor but its not over done. I know it says natural, but the flavor does come across as sightly artificial. Not as smooth as it should be considering the brewer. I think straub has sold out on this one. They should have consulted Phil before they made this stuff. Its a little bit of an insult on peter's heritage.

Got this twist off bottle at JR's, nice big place. Big clear pale pour. Pretty good carbonation. Nose is fairly mild lager beer with very little hint this is apple. Taste is certainly not over the top in apple flavor, you almost have to search for the apple, tho it's there. Yes, a fairly mild fruit beer that is better than average, no dullness what-so-ever. In the end it does have some processed feel to it. Could be a little more tart in my humble opinion. Not bad, better than expected. Glad its not yer average fruit beer.

12 ounce can. Pours a clear yellow hue with a large white head. A nice soft perfume and citrus nose. Lemon biscuit, mild resin, oranges. Soft, sweet. Pretty good. I have such respect for Straub.

Clear yellow tint from a bottle. Big white head. Nose is clean beer with some lemon, barely. First taste is bubbly fun, refreshing. Not sure if I can pick out the orange but fer sher the lemon is there. Second gulp is easy going, not as much of the lemonade thing going on here like many shandies, its just good beer with a tad of citrus. I can appreciate this more than your typical shandy, lacks the sugar factor. Makes it more like a real beer instead of lemonade. Good job peter, an example that any maker of a shandy should follow. Nothing artificial in this brew. Good co2 clear to the end. Could drink a few of these with no problem.

Bottle from brewery. Dark golden, spotty head. Malty aroma with caramel notes. Taste starts with the caramel, grassy, sweet. Light bitter finish.
