Straub Brewery is humbled and proud to be designated as an American Legacy Brewery™ because it celebrates over 146+ years of Fierce Independence in brewing! It signifies that Straub has produced quality American Lagers for more than five generations and represents the passion and dedication of a single family, who successfully managed, expanded and often protected a way of life that the Brewery represented. Ours is a history shared by only a few surviving legacy breweries in this country. Today, a new generation of Peter’s descendants carry-on his brewing traditions, maintaining the quality and relevance of our products and sustaining the heritage of Peter Straub.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a bright yellow color with a small foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was almost skunky with a lemon note. The flavor was almost skunky with lemon and artificial sugar.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a yellow gold color with a large foamy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was floral, perfumey and citric hops. The flavor was bitter and tangy with citric hops. Medium length finish. Medium body.

12 oz. can at the Falls City Pub, Ohiopyle, PA. Tastes a little funky. Not my favorite. Tastes like beer and dirty water? Something is off. Maybe I shouldn't have tried this after having a premium lager.

This beer poured a yellow-gold color with a large foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was dry with crisp floral and grassy hops. The flavor was dryish, buttery, bitter and had a light grassy hop note. Medium length finish. Light body.

This beer poured a caramel nut color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left no lacing. The aroma was sour caramel, butter and was off. The flavor was off with caramel and butter notes. Long finish. Medium body.

From old tasting notes. Labeled as "Straub All Grain Beer". Clear, bright yellow gold color. Big bubbly white head. Sweet malt aroma reminiscent of corn syrup. Sweet grainy tangy malt flavor. Light body with a touch of hop flavor in the middle. Brief uninteresting finish.

Bottle at the Legion in a dry town in Western PA Crystal clear light yellow bubbly white head. Lightly sweet crackery grainy maltiness with just a hint of floral to counter. not horrible.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a huge creamy tan head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was molasses and a bit of vegetal malts. The flavor was tangy and bitter with vegetal malts, a bit of toffee and bread crust. Long finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Meh.
