Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear russet colour lasting beige head. Decent red ale. Certainly has the malt backbone. Some dryness on the finish. Some spicy malt flavour. Decent

Hand pulled third of a pint in The Moon Under Water, (A Spoons in Hounslow) on 7th March 2025. Looked fine, red hue to the amber body, clean and clear, on top a beige crust. Thought this had a Rye like bitterness and didn't take to it, strange flavour and aroma, fruity but over spiced for my palate.

Cask at Square Peg, Birmingham. Pours reddish brown with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. There’s malts and dried fruit in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and smooth with a creamy texture with malts, dark fruits and some hoppy traces. Hints of autumn fruits and spices come through later. Sweetness lingers in the finish. This is decent – very quaffable.

Very light, biscuity malts, quite pale, distinct UK hopping. Soft carb, medium mouth feel. Light bitterness, bready, slightly grassy finish.

Bottle. Nose is malt, citrus, Taste is toffee, lemon pith, slightly medicinal hop. This was superb on draft but feels very muted in the bottle.
