Description
The Brooklyn Brewery started with a dream to return brewing to Brooklyn, once a powerhouse of American beer production. Today our beers travel to more than half the United States and over thirty countries. Our James Beard Award-winning Brewmaster Garrett Oliver and his team brew everything from classic styles to bold experiments and collaborate with brewers, innovators and artists from around the globe. We’ve met wonderful people in remarkable places, and we can’t wait to show everyone what’s next.

In 2016, Brooklyn Brewery sold 24.5 percent to Kirin, Japan’s second-biggest brewer. The partnership allowed Brooklyn Brewery to use Kirin’s distribution arm to sell in Japan and Brazil.

Golden color, small but steady white head. Flowery, fruity nose. Extremely well-balanced malt and hop character. Feels more like pils than lager (what this Vienna means here?). Flowery, hoppy, world class brew.

2004 bottle. Dark chestnut brown, with light auburn tinges and a moderate amount of beige-flecked-white head, moderate retention. Initially full/intense aroma of caramel/maris otter malt. Sweet and clean, with lightly dry earthiness/toastiness. Easygoing hops in the background are leafy and lightly dry. Flavor is bubble-gum, toffee, dates (heavily), slight alcohol dryness. Low bitterness, light fuggles nuances. Good notes of cherry, though it is faint and deeply in the background. Very English, yet very clean on the end, with just a slight touch of hard water. Flowery hops play, well-behavedly, with toffee and everyone is happy. Medium body, low carbonation and no thinning. Coffee comes forth, lightly, as it warms. . .yes, coffee it is for sure. Slight sediment in the bottle.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful hazy bronze, without much head. Typical fruity as in a classical German "Hefe-Weizen", which is the obvious ideal. Loads of cereal, loads of yeast. But it doesn’t have the same impact as the best German examples of the style.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Quite dark - and very pretty - amber colour, limited head. The top quality aroma hops are revealed already in the nose and certainly when the first drops hit the tastebuds. Nice bitternes, but first and foremost aroma, with a fine malty body. A fine example of an excellent microbrewed American Lager.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Dark amber, moderat off-white head. Fresh nose of malt and fruits with a fine, discreet hoppy aroma. Very pleasant and quaffable. Awakes nice memories of last years "Brooklyn Pig Fest" where this was a favourite. Thanx Garrett.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Dark amber rather than mahogany as claimed on the neck label. Filtered and clear with a light brownish head. Very malty and extremely aromatic from the excellent hops in use. Notes of nuts and caramel and a touch of vanilla. Much more fullbodied than British counterparts. Pretty high carbonation.
