Bottle. Lactic lemon, coriander, and wheat malt aroma. Hazy pale yellow with giant white head. Lightly sweet lemon and wheat malt flavor with a hint of coriander in the finish. Okay - a bit bland.

On the cold weather Pgh tour of winter 2015 spring at bocktown robinson, part 2. Big and black. Has a slight coffee aroma on it. Pretty good co2 for a darker beer. Taste is milk stout but stronger milk stout. Quite acceptable. In the end has a roasty aftertaste all round.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a small foamy tan head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was bourbon, coffee and a bit of roasty malts. The flavor was port wine, whiskey, coffee, chocolate, a bit sour and a touch of vinegar. Medium length finish. Medium body. Disappointing. I am wondering if it was infected.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a medium creamy brown head that dissipates slowly leaving nice lacing. Aroma is rich, roasty, anise, cocoa, blackstrap molasses. Flavor is light sweet and quite bitter, roasty, earthy, molasses, burned things. Lingering bitterness remains. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. This is a kind of smack you up side the head stout, and not in a bad way.

Bottle thanks to Daniel. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head. The aroma is roast and wood. Thin mouth, sweet roasted malt, dark chocolate, good.

This beer is a clear orange-amber color with a medium bone white head that recedes gradually. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and grainy malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, fruit and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Pours a clear golden with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of floral, citrus, spicy hops, doughy malt. The taste is citrus hops, a peppery note, pale malt.

May I rant? Why do brewers claim different ipa by using a different hop? Come on now, these beers taste the same, the only thing that would make the flavor change is time, so why not list them by their born on date? Eh? They could at least let the drinker know which one it is by returning email or responding on face book, but NO! no? If it is a certain hop IPA call it that, don’t use the same label and name. This fad about using different hops on the same label is happy bullshit. Even same addams made it a macro thing, a whole line of ipa with the same label just different hops, egad. This beer? Some mild tartness in there, taste the same as the other two, plain old terribly on style ipa. Tho tartness almost makes it desirable. Chewing on green grapefruit rinds all over my mouth. Yez, there is a little sizzle in there. Long difficult for a lager lover ipa finish, almost interesting. I have to go back now and see if I srote the same thing on the others.

On tap at the bocktown monaca. They did not know if it was tettnand or columbus so I’ll put it here, I cannot really tell the diffrence between the two hop varieties and I thing its superfolous to have the same beer with just two different kind of hops. I see this is a fad by brewers to attempt to increase sales. Darker iced tea brown with a smooth creamy head. Quite bitter initially and much more bitter than expected considering it was s’posed to be a pale ale; this stuff is IPA fer sure. More hoppy bitter than many IPA. Has nice lacing. Coats my glass like your favorite mates see thru teddy. Odd roasty or woody background in there, makes it intriquing but it still is very bitter fer sure. Finish is long and fully bitter. Barely any co2. If you like IPA give this a try, you will not be dissapoinbted.

Looks like lemonade. Has a slight fruity perfume aroma. Slimy head. Can’t taste much strawberry in there but its there. I rather like it that way, the dull fruit not getting in yer face. Just enough to let you know it is fruited. Good biting co2. Rather mild and laid back males it enjoyable. I like that. Quite good overall, has a solid wit bier attitude about it.

From a bottle with a somewhat viscous pour. Darker hefe looking beer. Big dull somewhat volatile hop aroma. Strong kick in the jaw alky blast on the uptake. Chewing on alky laced green grapefruit pine tar happy BS. What else can be said except that its dead on nasty style. Won’t be able to taste anything else for a while. And, I had to drive out of town to get this? If you like knock you in the head, smack you in the face, punch you in the teeth triple ipa, try this.
