Cask at the Crosse Keys (JDW), City of London. A bright pale amber pour with a loose white head; spicy malt aroma; spicy taste, with a solid bitter finish. OK, but rather unexciting for a Christmas beer.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, City of London. A crystal clear straw colour with a ring of white head; floral aroma; sweet grainy body with a hay-like bitterness; and a pleasant dry finish with some biscuit and some floral notes. A pleasant beer, but not particularly Christmasy.
