THE UNEXAMINED BEER IS NOT WORTH BREWING
There comes a time in every man’s life when he must ask himself – Should I continue working my steady and lucrative job or should I just quit and make beer? Well, for Norfolk-native Porter Hardy, the decision was a no-brainer. In 2012, the former home-brewer (and now former lawyer) traded his ties in for tap handles, and never looked back. With a stellar team around him, Porter entered un-fermented waters as one of the original craft breweries to set up shop in Hampton Roads.

Some haze to it with a white head. The marshmallows come thru but thankfully not over the top. Some citrus, lactose, marshmallow, tropical juice. Medium bodied. This is a hype beer? I mean, yea it’s an interesting ingredient but doesn’t taste all that interesting. Still, it’s good.

16oz can. Poured a darker color than I expected it to be - copper color, with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was big resin, though not overly pine. Was hoping for more of a spruce, bitter character here, like whole hop cone. More malt forward. It should be fresh, as I just bought it, but it isn't popping like what I was hoping for.

Cask at GBBF'19 Day 3, 08/08/19. Murky orange with a decent egg shell white covering. Nose is citric pith, dank chimes, grass, ripe melon, pine needle. Taste comprises grapefruit, pine needle, bitter orange, cantaloupe melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy hop bitterness. Decent.
