Bottle: Faint honeyish malty nose, slightly toasted with a hoppy touch; deep golden to light amber coloured, thin, but stable white head; light bitter flavour, very light bodied; delicate malty-fruity finish with some bitter edges. Not really unpleasant, but too watery......

Bottle. The colour of treacle with a thick brown head, which settles but lasts. A sweet toffee nose, and a warm malty flavour makes this a beer to sip slowly.

Bottle picked up at Morrisons, Aylesbury, Tues 8th August. Thought that I’d already rated this but evidently not. Light amber coloured, very clear quite malty little bit toffee and chewy didn’t really strike me as a 5.7%er not at all, touch on the sweet side with some hop presence, this was fine enough but I’ve had a lot better.

Bottled. Clear, dark golden with a small off-white head. Malty, bready aroma with a nice hoppyness and some caramel sweetness. The flavor is malty and lightly sweet and hoppy. A bit roasted. Medium body and a nice bitterness in the finish. Session beer. (060812)

Draught. Black colour. Nice, stable creamy light brown head. Creamy, dusty, slightly roasted flavour. Creamy mouthfeel. 5 4 5 4 11
Can, 4.5%. Weak port aroma. Black colour. Big stable brown head. The flavour is mild, has a little fruit, but it suits the beer well. Not so roasted, more like a sweetish caramel and liquorice note. A bit like Schwarzbier and actually just as clean. 6 3 6 3 13

From bottle. Short-lasting tan head, than rather flat appearance. Clear golden amber in colour, with an earthy, hoppy flavour, and pleasant after taste. A good session ale.

Bottled. Clear, golden with a medium off-white head. Malt, caramel and hops in the aroma, quite low on hops, though. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel and hops. Medium body and a sweet, yet bitter and lasting, hoppy finish. Quite pleasant beer, but it is quite bold to label it as an IPA. It is a bit on the sweet side too, I think. A quenching and easy drinkable beer, but I guess two bottles would be more than enough. 091104

Bottle. Dark red brown colour. Creamy white good lasting head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel with a hint of oak wood. A sweet caramel, roasted malty and slightly bitter (specially in the finish) flavour.
