Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is light. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Aroma: A mix of spices with a touch of cereal. Cinnamon, clove, Candi sugar, accompanied by a little touch of meat. A sweet and spicy nose, within style but missing a bit of power. Appearance: Gold, very clear, average thickness head, average density, long lasting, no lacing. Taste: First attack is showing up cereal with a slight acidity. Accents are sweet: Candi sugar, crystallized fruits with a touch of cinnamon and light lemony notes. Mouth feel is round, full and texture slightly creamy. Missing a bit of sparkle for a Belgium ale. A much sweet ale, round, slightly acid with notes of cereal.

Bouteille 660ml.

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, Switzerland
Beautiful color, dark amber to brown, with small beige head. Mild aroma of caramel with very light sourness. Correct mouthfeel, full and round, with too much carbonation; caramel flavor, moderate sweetness, a liquorice aftertaste, low bitterness, and light sourness.
Lightly infected.
Second and last Grimoire beer, I’m happy I didn’t buy the others.

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, Switzerland, 7% ABV
Amber color, clean, with generous compact head. The aroma is strange, there is some stale malt, some butter, some metallic impression and just a hint of hops. Smooth mouthfeel; mediocre malt and caramel flavor, a bit stale and metallic; strong bitterness, with some resins but overall not many hop qualities; in the final there is a very light impression of liquorice, and some residual sweetness.
Poorly executed, but still drinkable.
