Bottle. A dark golden coloured pour with a large bubbly white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, floral aroma and taste. Pretty bland golden ale but OK on a hot day I guess.

Bottle from Lifecraft, Cowes, drunk at home. Tawny brown, clear, with a small film of whitish head. Caramel, tangerine peel and light tannic tea on the aroma. Taste is bittersweet, with caramel notes fading to a light medicinal bitterness. It's decent but a little bit dull, however it's got a lovely peach tea not win the aftertaste and is nicely carbonated which lifts it a bit.

Bottle from Lifecraft, Cowes. Ruddy brown and clear with a small thin film of beige head. Floral aroma with woody notes, caramel and toffee, a bit of capsicum. Sweet heady taste followed by a surprisingly bitter note. The finish retains some of the sweetness with a prominent astringency. More caramel and a touch of plum in the aftertaste. Decent amount of carbonation.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 19. Thanks Mike for this. Pours clear mahogany, off white froth atop. Herbal nose, good fruity dark malts. Nice fruity dubbel character, the herbal notes working well with the sweet elements. Really rather good.

11th Nov 2019; Beer Share Evening in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Cheers Mike for the bottle of this. Clear deep amber body, wispy white head. Really enjoyed the malty sweetness of this beer, some liquorice and coriander like flavours in the taste.

Half-pint cask ale at Pier View in Cowes. Clear warm golden body, small sized white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Resrained aroma of mid-sweet malts. Subdued malt-fruity flavours, hints of lemon and caramel. Discreet bitter end, clean on the swallow. Easy going. (Isle of Wight, Cowes 21.10.2019).
