Poured from can dated 2/27/18 hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is juicy citrus grassy scallion pine and floral hops. Taste is mango pineapple orange floral hops lingering bitterness in the finish. Not a bad offering.

16 oz. can shared by blind tasting with Chalumeaux. 2-27-18 canning dateAppearance is a clouded yellow gold. Aroma is nice pineapple, mango, grass, and yeast. Flavor is a direct reflection, bitterness has a nice lingering onion and grass. Some juice in the texture but you can tell it is a hop centric beer. It turned out better than I thought it would.

22oz bottle pours out copper amber topped with a small head. Nose is sweet caramel malts some hop notes and spice. Tatse is more of the nice sweet malts spice and a citrus hops touch.

This pours a hazy deep amber with a solid 1" layer of foam.

The smell on first whiff is strong bready/caramel malt sweetness followed by slight notes of pine. Good nose.

The taste follows the nose except the bread and caramel malt aren't as dominant as the hops move in with some citrus and some pine and a big fruitiness appears with some dark cherry goodness and other dark fruit that give it a slight but enjoyable tartness. Now I'm tasting some toffee and a woody character. Dang, the more I sip and the warmer it gets, the more flavours I'm tasting. Very complex and very enjoyable.

Many further sips in and I find the hop presence more assertive..well, it does say on the label that it's rated at 100 IBUs, but the bitterness *never* gets out of control here. I think the balance is nice and could be further improved with some aging but as is, this is a fine drinking BWSA and the alcohol doesn't hurt the drinkability much at all.

The mouthfeel, for me, seems a little too light for the style but the lightish carbonation helps to pull that off so I can't complain much. Btw, head retention is very good and it has some good lacing.

Bottom line: This is a very tasty and thoroughly enjoyable example of the style. A bottle of this in the dead of Winter would be sure to brighten up just about *anyone's* day.

Bomber from convenience store on North Hero Island. Dark brown medium bodied with spruce and roasted malt aroma and taste. Moderate bitter vegetable flavor. Roasted malt finish. Doesn’t really pull together well.

1 pint can bought at Buzzy’s Beverage and Redemption Center, Newport, VT. Murky golden nearly juicy in the glass. Tropical fruity hopy on the nose. Taste starts fruity, followed by a malty and increasing grainy second part, spicy. Decent bitterness but not as bitter as expected. Hidden alcohol. Really complex fruity stuff. Highly recommended.
