Cask handpull at Victoria Station, JDW, Victoria. Cloudy orange/gold. Thin white head. Banana estery aroma. Some very good spicyness on finish. I mean 10/10 for effort. A real attempt at a German Weisse. Itโ€™s just a little eathy and dirty and maybe not enough wheat as itโ€™s a touch watery. Itโ€™s ok, and top marks for the attempt, but itโ€™s not great. Strained.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours an almost black body, at least very dark brown and topped by a small, beige head. The aroma has chocolate, coffee, dried fruits and some burnt notes. Slightly milky too it seems. The flavor has burnt malts and coffee. Some chocolate and licorice too. Medium body. The finish is quite long and burnt, with some chocolate to mellow it. A quite decent one. 110319
