Description
Our beer is brewed across two sites. The first is our original brewery at the Old Flax Store, this is where we began our journey in 2014, and is home to our LDS tap room. We expanded into our second much larger brewery, Sydenham Road, in April 2017. Between both sites we can brew up to 18 beers at a time.

The Old Flax Store is a Grade II listed building located in Holbeck, the spiritual heart of the industrial revolution. In 2014 we turned this derelict mill into a brewery, tap room and events space. This building is home to our first brewery, which takes up the ground floor of the building. Our second brewing site is also located in Holbeck, half a mile away at Sydenham Road, where 8 x 100HL conical FVs enable our total capacity at this site to reach 24,000HL.

Keg at CBC Clapham - London. Pours oily, clear brown-black with a creamy tan head. The nose holds rich chocolate and ripe berries. Medium sweet flavor with gooey chocolate, burt wood, smoke, peat, dirt, baking cocoa. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with dry dark chocolate, torched wood, earthy bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Northern Monk New World IPA ].Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, buttery hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, orange, buttery hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20131012] 5-3-6-3-11 Cask (gravity) @ Ned Ludd, 27 Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire England NG1 6DA. [ As Northern Monk New World IPA ].Clear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, tropical fruit, fruity, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oilyy, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141012] 6-2-7-3-14

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with thin tan head, roast coffee aroma, taste is very sweet with roast coffee and a hint of vanilla some molasses and some liquorice, nice stuff.

Light haze on this gold - amber beer. Pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and a little soft. Smooth creamy malt, soft and airy. Little lactose. Hops are complex but mellow. Pine, subtle skunk, soft lime and a little ripe orange. Subtle tropical fruits and a touch of grass. Finishes soft and semi dry. Complex and tasty.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a large head. Aroma is liquorice, dark berries and cola. Taste has dark berries to start, a strong liquorice finish ans cola on the aftertaste.

Keg at IMBC 2013. It pours hazy deep amber with a small white head. The nose is wood, caramel, toffee, raisin, dough, toast, brown sugar and honey. The taste is wood, earth, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, raisin, citrus peel and mild astringency with a dry, bitter finish. Thinner than it should be really. Watery and ultimately a bit underwhelming.
