Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a thin broken light tan head. The aroma is roasty caramel malt, medicinal, alcohol. The flavour is light sweet, liqourice alcohol bitter with a dry rich, roasty, oily, oaky, liquorice alcoholic bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with an oily mouthfeel.

Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a clear reddish mahogany colour with a thin off white head. The aroma is dry roasty malt, toffee, caramel, molasses, sweet sweaty socks. The flavour is moderate sweet with a big toffee caramel malt, boozy liquorice alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation. Not keen on this at all. Way too alcoholic and far too reminiscent of the dreadful malt liquors we see in night shops throughout South East Asia. Brewed with fish? Maybe that's what I could smell. Buried underground for 10 years no doubt.

The flavour is moderate to strong sour with a smooth, rich, dry dough biscuit malt, tart rhubarb palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not so bad at all and good to taste.

Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a murky orange amber with a frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is malt, dry yeast, floral hop. The flavour is moderate sour with a light crisp, tart, medicinal palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Didn't really get any of the flavours that were supposed to be in this beer. A bit of a mess really.
