375ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Relatively weak, condensed, roasty, chocolately, minimally ashy-smoky, dark and caramel malty aroma, minimally yeasty fruity, woody and spicy overtones, hints of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, some treacle, a touch of bramble, dark caramel, mustard seed. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty and chocolately, dark malty, minimally yeasty fruity, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, chocolate sauce, some treacle, a touch of bramble, raspberry, caramel sauce; ashy and metallic interludes.
OIly to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation.
Not overly complex, relatively easy drinkable - not the kind of sipper that invites to meditate over the unfathomable diversity of subtle flavours.

Pajiza ligeramente turbia. Dos dedos de bonita espuma. Bonita. Intenso aroma lupulado, predominio herbal, pero también notas tropicales, mango. En boca es ligera pero cremosa. Perfecta de gas. Y muy rico sabor aroma muy frutal, de nuevo con mango, piña y pomelo. Amargor moderado. Super bebible y super agradable.

Italian Pilsener has become a thing – some even say a substyle of its own – ever since the Como brewery came up with Tipopils already in 1996, and is supposed to be distinguished from other (sub)styles by the fact that it is dry-hopped with noble hops; given that this Crack brewery in Padua claims their Pizza Pils to be an Italian style Pilsener, I assume that this dry-hopping has been applied in this one as well. Snow white, thick and moussey, very slowly breaking head over lightly misty yellow blonde robe. Aroma of dry crackers, field flowers, lime peel, green kiwi somewhere, apple skin, some iron but feeling ‘natural’. Quite neutral onset, immediately presenting a rounded cereally pale maltiness with a vague metallic edge and lively effervescence; slick and ‘pure’, with a moderately long, adequately bittering, drying hoppiness, floral and spicy even with some green fruit notes (green kiwi again – even a volatile whiff of green guava for a moment) revealing the dry-hopping, while a pleasant breadiness from malt and yeast provides a soft ‘bed’ for it to support it. Refined the Italian way: quite subtle, but colourful in a modest way; if this is a typical Italian Pilsener – I frankly cannot even remember if I ever had one before – then I do not understand why the genre has not entirely ‘taken off’ yet…

Straight outta the 400ml can. A pretty easy to drink and refreshing session IPA with decent hoppy notes from the sweet side. Nothing extraordinary but let’s face it this style doesn’t really need to be. No idea why is it categorized as a blond ale when the can clearly says session IPA on it.

Can. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Has the complementary NEIPA notes and that classic hazy appearance, but as juicy as I liked my NEIPA, if I liked it at the first place.

Taster at Hopa. Nem a komplexitas csimborasszoja: brutalisan uralja a kave mind az illatat, mind az izet, szarazan foldes, etcsokis, tanninos. Nincs tulbonyolitva, de egyszeruen csak mukodik.

Taster at Hopa. I might have made a mistake here ordering a taster cause the 1dl might not have made justice with this beer. But anyway; it was moderately herbal and grassy in its hoppyness, fairy crispy as well but somehow it just felt underwhelming, even though it was surely very well made. Note to self: go for a pint next time!
