Airlifted 2000km north from Ottawa just so I could try it.... now, not that thereβs any pressure Mr. Trafalgar Ales, but I hope you understand what lengths some Canadians go to try your brews! Poured cold at 6.3 celcius, it has almost no head and a brownish-amber body with little carbonation. The aroma is distinctly maple syrup, which is good, but there is nothing else there, which isnβt good. The flavour is a good mix between a stout and maple flavourings however - with a decent dry finish and okay mouthfeel. Itβs one of those beers that, in my opinion, ainβt pretty but is worth a drink or three.
